Eight new apprentices and 350th employee

Once again this year, Hauff-Technik is welcoming eight young people into its company: these days represent the start of their professional life.

Over the coming two to three years, the young people will receive instruction in industrial, technical and commercial professions. In addition to an industrial business management assistant, a machinery and equipment operator, a warehouse logistics specialist and an IT specialist in system integration, this year also sees a total of three students from the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) commencing their studies in the company in the areas of industrial business administration and industrial engineering. For the first time, Hauff-Technik is also offering an apprenticeship as a process mechanic for polymer and rubber technology.

Before the apprenticeship really gets started, however, the young professionals need to get to know each other and the processes that occur during the typical working day. The first days are therefore spent giving the young professionals valuable tips on how to get their professional future off to a good start.

"We see it as our responsibility to offer the young people the opportunity of a solid learning experience and in this way pave the way for a bright professional future," says Managing Director Dr Michael Seibold, who welcomes the new apprentices and students on the first day and wishes them an enjoyable apprenticeship experience.

A quick look at the first days at Hauff-Technik reveals the varied nature of the apprenticeships:
The apprentices' parents are invited along for the first day of work in the company. This gives them an opportunity to have a look at the company and get to know the instructors. The company presentation also includes a factory tour, which ends with eating lunch together in the company canteen.

The most impressive thing, however, are the items on the agenda for the coming days: the apprentices can look forward to several training events and photo sessions, their first "jour fixe" meeting and a feedback session about the week just gone. A particular highlight is the team building day, which this year is taking place at PROTACTICS in Bopfingen. PROTACTICS has already received several "Werte Awards", and among other things offers events and courses to increase self-confidence and to encourage social and emotional skills as well as respectful interaction with each other so that any delicate situations that occur can be handled with confidence.
 
A total of twelve apprentices and seven students from the Cooperative State University are currently employed at Hauff-Technik. With their different qualifications, they are laying a solid foundation for their future professional career. “Educating young and motivated people is very important for Hauff-Technik. They are the future of our company," says Human Resources Manager Heike Räuber-Schaber. Applications are currently being accepted for the apprenticeship programme starting in September 2020. However, the apprentices and students are not the only new additions: in early August 2019, Hauff-Technik welcomed a total of nine new colleagues – among them the company's 350th employee.
