The German government wants to drive forward the expansion of the charging network for electric cars with a package of measures totalling 6.3 billion euros. The aim is to establish a nationwide and user-friendly charging network of one million charging points by 2030. Of these publicly accessible charging points, only around 75,000 were available in Germany in 2022. In addition, there are charging points that are needed in semi-public areas.

Demand for charging stations will also increase in the future among companies, service providers, hotels and other semi-public facilities. For the predicted ramp-up of e-mobility, it is therefore necessary to expand the corresponding charging infrastructure. An increased number of charging stations is essential for this as demand for e-vehicles increases.
