Together into the future

Hauff-Technik has been writing its success story at Hermaringen for 10 years

"Win-win" is not always just a phrase. The management at Hauff-Technik and the municipality of Hermaringen already found this out from the first phone call during the planning phase of the new building in 2011. "From the very beginning, the business relationship was one of give and take," is how Mayor Jürgen Mailänder describes it. At that time, a change in the company was on the horizon, which Managing Director Dr. Michael Seibold describes as follows: "We were in a state of strong growth and had a turnover of over 30 million euros. Our three factories at the time were literally bursting at the seams. We had three factories within a radius of 20 kilometers and were faced with a fourth."

The management uses the opportunity and starts again. After several discussions with the mayor of Hermaringen, Hauff-Technik with its then requested 35,000 m³ in Hermaringen finally finds a new place in its success story. In 2014, the company opened the new building after a total construction period of 16 months, bringing together what belongs together. In September 2018, the management presented the plans for the new, ultra-modern logistics center for the first time, which was finally put into operation at the beginning of 2021.

The company's growth is not only evident in Hermaringen, but also far beyond national borders. Hauff-Technik has now become a group and is expanding into the global market with its products. With its subsidiaries in Switzerland, the UK and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the acquired subsidiary Hauff-Technik GRIDCOM, the company now generates an annual turnover of up to 116 million euros and employs 550 people. Managing Director Dr. Michael Seibold is certain that "economic success is not a sure-fire success. To ensure that the company can continue to develop and grow successfully in the future, we must actively shape the future today" and is therefore focusing on cell division.

After all, if you want to grow, you also have to ask yourself where this growth can take place. Therefore, the company has decided to move into another location in Heidenheim, which is to be moved into before the end of this year. In addition to parts of the production of Hauff-Technik GRIDCOM and parts of the administration, especially the area that is to concentrate on internationalization, a new customer center is also to be built here. However, Hermaringen will continue to be the headquarters of Hauff-Technik. In this way, the municipality of Hermaringen will be able to continue to benefit from growth and the business relationship can continue positively.
